My
geographic area of specialty is the Penobscot Bay area, including parts
of Knox County, all of Waldo County, and parts of Hancock County. (See
towns on map.) The bay, a favorite spot for sailing, is a sheltered area
between the Camden Hills to the west and the Blue Hill peninsula to the
east.
The dog-friendly
coastal towns I know best include Camden, Northport, Belfast, Searsport,
Stockton Springs, Orland, Hope, Blue Hill and Surry. The rolling hills
in many of the inland communities such as Appleton, Washington, Montville
and Searsmont provide the setting for historic homes and farms. I
know them all.
